You don't have to know a person in order to appreciate them

Do you take the time to recognize and appreciate the people around you – even people you don’t know? You and I can probably agree that life has its ups and downs. And what’s so wonderful is that regardless of all that, you’ve made it this far. How did you do it?

Well, let’s just say even if you did it all by yourself, you didn’t do it alone. People all around you have been serving you in ways that may not occur obvious to you.

Think about it: Who comes to take away your garbage? Who delivers your mail to you? Transports fresh food to your local produce? Makes sure there’s water when you turn on the tap? Or electricity when you switch on the light?

Have you stopped to think about the people behind all this – to be of purpose in your life? What would your life look like if none of these people existed to serve you?
Let’s take this even further: Maybe you’re running late and a janitor tells you to slow down so you don’t slip on the newly polished floor. Good thing he was there to warn you about the floor. Imagine if he wasn’t – you would have fell and hurt yourself. Then you would really be late!

How about when you thought you were down and out – and shortly after, you run into someone who has it worst than you? Then you realize, maybe things aren’t so bad for you after all.

So you see, somehow, we all serve a purpose to each other. You don’t have to have a relationship with a person in order to recognize and appreciate them. I know I wouldn’t be sharing this article to enlighten you of this notion if it weren’t for your interest in my blog. I’m always grateful for your visit here. And I appreciate you for inspiring me to write.

Take the time today and everyday to appreciate the people around you. I promise you your life will be enriched when you make this point to recognize and appreciate others.
